چکیده

La Web Of Science (WOS) es una plataformade la empresa Thomson Reuters basada en tecnología web y formada por una amplia colección de bases de datos bibliográficas, citas y referencias de publicaciones científicas de cualquier disciplina del conocimiento –científico, tecnológico, humanístico y sociológico– desde 1945. Hasta enero de 2014 esta plataforma era conocida como “Web of Knowledge”, pero tras su actualización en esta fecha Thomson Reuters ha decidido renombrarla pasándola a llamar Web of Science. A su vez, la base de datos que hasta ahora se llamaba “Web of Science” pasa a llamarse Web of Science Core Collection que es la utilizada para hacer el seguimiento de la producción científica de la UPM.
